More paintings: This time watercolour on giấy Dó, a type of rice paper: Handmade from plant fibres, multi-layers, it can be so thin that you can see the fibres blended in.
Dó paper is very special, you can crush it and then iron it! It lasts for hundred years. Water colours on Dó paper requires lots of practices but look it has come special effects no other paper has.
Do Duc has 15 years intensively working on Dó paper. Here are some of his “miniature” paintings on tiny pieces of rice paper. Another series of paintings on rice papers, different style, will be updated later.
